i was in your garden.

July 24, 2011

I was in your garden,
among the greens,
and cobblestones.
We agreed to meet here,
but I was there alone.

I waited in your garden,
beneath the blues,
and rising sun.
We never did meet there,
you’d already woken up.

It is good to be alone in a garden at dawn or dark so that all its shy presences may haunt you and possess you in a reverie of suspended thought.  – James Douglas, Down Shoe Lane

Sharing each other’s dreams together, while sleeping at the same time is a dream and only works on the third Tuesday of any given month with a full moon that day. Now if you knew how to Vulcan mind meld then that would be a different story… lol

  3. Beautiful poem. A striking thought about dreams and if they are shared.
