bloody bones.

August 5, 2011

Bloody, bloody, bloody bones,
Jingle-jangle on the stones,
Chilly there without your skin,
But nobody knows to let you in.

A jerky jaunt, a twisted weight,
A trail of dirt heeling your gait,
Drip, drip, dripping by the door,
No one would recognize you anymore.

Bloody, bloody, bloody bones,
Staining, haunting cobblestones,
Frail and jarring, wettish, small,
They’re not expecting you at all.
