sand to glass mirrors.

With the shore smoothed by waves,
which turned the sand to glass mirrors,
the beach was a silk scarf,
bound snuggly beside a gaudy night.
Wind carried words adrift,
to far away islands.
I could not hear nor see him;
the starry sky too tiresome this season.
Follow me, he motioned,
with his dull beam of light,
as his silhouette was swallowed,
by shadows on the moon,
reflected only in the foaming crests,
of wave after all-consuming, roaring wave.
Follow me, he beckoned,
and I did follow him,
like a ship in the night,
his flashlight, the northern star.
