graphite waves.

Might you try to reimagine me,
bare feet swinging atop the jetties,
with miles of motion splayed before,
humming to the crashing shore,
for I do not write of love these days,
my notebooks spilling graphite waves,
doodles, drawings, charcoal sketches,
of too many lonesome lighthouses.
